Minister Joe McHugh, Department of Education & Skills, opened the event by making reference to the collaborative work being done through CASE. Rosemary
emphasised the benefit of teacher professional dialogue now happening between the two schools and acknowledged the key role the local community can play in supporting schools which in their case involves using the local library for shared education events given the space constraints within her own school.

While the spotlight remains firmly on STEM, over the coming years Arts will also be introduced to enhance numeracy learning.
